The Hills & Glens – May 2026

On May 31 Atlantic Voices hit all the high notes with its spring concert, The Hills and Glens – a musical journey from the Highlands to the Cabot Trail to the Halifax Citadel and beyond.

The show’s repertoire showcased the rich trove of folk songs inspired by mountains and hills, and featured music by some of Canada’s top choral composers, including Mark Sirett and Stephen Hatfield. The program paid special tribute to the traditional music of Scotland, including a rare pairing of choir and bagpipe!

The concert began at 3pm with a pre-show set by the Fumblin’ Fingers that started at 2:15pm. Audience members and choristers alike enjoyed the receiption that followed the show.

Special thanks to Abigail Sanchez Rojas for the original artwork on our concert poster!
