On Jan 25, 2026 Atlantic Voices presented its midwinter concert, featuring stirring songs of light and hope to warm your heart. It was an afternoon of uplifting melodies — from the soothing sounds of African-Nova Scotian gospel to heartfelt, inspiring tunes from such artists as Stan Rogers, Gene MacLellan, and Allister MacGillivray.
The concert repertoire featured songs of resilience and aspiration by writers who search deep within the heart and soar to the skies — or like New Brunswick-born poet Bliss Carman, who finds rest for the spirit in the natural world.
The concert began at 3pm on Sunday, January 25, at Centretown United Church, after a heavenly pre-show set by the Fumblin’ Fingers that started at 2:15pm. The usual reception followed the show.
